JOIN US FOR FIRST SATURDAYS- A very special event celebrating the power of community, arts, and connection.

On Saturday, April 5th, Collide Zine will have its First “First Saturdays” open mic at the one and only People’s Gallery Project in Washington Square West!

Each month we are theming our mic around one question. This month we ask participants the important prompt, “How Has Art Changed Your Life?!”

We welcome all creative interpretations, whether it's a direct answer to the question, a song, poem , or visual art piece that changed your life in some way. Open mic signups are first come, first serve! Sign up at the door when you arrive to participate, or relax and enjoy the show.

This event is donation-based with a minimum suggested amount of $5-$10.

This is a safe and supportive environment to enjoy yourself, connect with local artists and entrepreneurs, support makers, have fun, and just BE YOU.

We are also welcoming a new featured artist to the gallery for the very first time! Enjoy the opening night of a very special series of original artwork by Michael N. Thomas @tigerhorseart

What to Expect:

An interactive pop-up style art gallery in a unique studio setting

Live music

A new selection of beverages including specialty teas and NA cocktails

A polaroid photo booth

Complimentary snacks and beverages

........and more!

This is a part of Collide Zine and PGP’s new First Saturdays series, with the goal to bring consistent accessible creative events to the bustling sidewalks of Pine St and surrounding small businesses. The first Saturday of each month, we will turn our new flagship gallery space into a pop-up style art or performing arts event featuring visual arts by local People's Gallery Project artists and/or local musicians, poets, vendors, and creatives of all kinds. Imagine a Saturday evening at your favorite cafe, but surrounded by art, creativity and a TON of good energy.

RSVP here to reserve a spot today! Open mic performances start 30 minutes after doors at 7pm.
