Our lives are filled with technology that tells us the cure to our loneliness is buying more stuff and streaming more content. "Join or Die" — a new documentary about our loneliness crisis and Robert Putnam’s “Bowling Alone” research — tells another story: what we’re lacking is community, and the solution is to join with others and reconnect with the world, for our own health and the health of our democracy.
What better place to gather and watch "Join or Die" than in the Auditorium of Bok Building, one of South Philly's most beloved community hubs? Afterwards, let's head upstairs to Bok Bar for drinks and to hang out (and maybe join something).
