I'm Frank Desaint, a photographer & storyteller based in Philadelphia. In my art I aim to explore the intersection of nostalgia and modernism using Black portraiture and storytelling. I believe in portraying life as it is for most of us - somewhere in the middle.
I use the term "Black Aiightness" to describe my work as the intention isn't to show the poorest or the richest of us but to tell the story of the everyday Black individual. There is a beauty in the everyday lives we often overlook and that's what I am to highlight.
