About The Position:
The Shopkeep is meant to provide a positive experience to all guests, regardless of background. You are the first friendly face our shop and hotel guests see upon entering the space. An expert in all things YOWIE, you will be knowledgeable in our roster of artists and makers, YOWIE brand DNA and general information about the hotel. You will work with your teammates to meet monthly sales goals and annual KPIs. You help create memorable experiences for our guests through friendly conversation, helpful suggestions and pointing them towards upcoming events and activations inside and outside of our space. This role is also tasked with assisting in the implementation of a safe, encouraging, and helpful community for themselves and other coworkers.
What You’ll Do:
Position is in a bustling mixed use space in Queen Village, Philadelphia
Able to multitask and communicate challenges and timeline needs clearly
Desire and willingness to roll up your sleeves and jump in when the situation requires it
Become a friendly expert on the entire portfolio of products and artist roster
Work with customers to find items + suggest products or bundles to create “giftable groups”
Keeping store tidy and re-merchandising as we sell through products and objects
Create a simple daily report of important customer interactions and stock outs
Enjoys participating in community events and pop-ups
Opening and closing duties related to store - sweeping, mopping, dusting and remerchandising or replenishing products on the floor
Unpacking product deliveries, and checking products inventory into the system
Fulfill customer order requests in an accurate, thoughtful and branded manner
Develop and nurture relationships with repeat customers and neighbors
Create a simple daily report of customer interactions, and stock outs
Sourcing
Collaborate with Shannon on seasonal product campaigns and visual storytelling
Be connected to the local creative and design scene and have a sense of what is trending locally and globally
Ability to source product + bring new artists or collaborators to the brand
Find ways to engage new product categories or business opportunities for the brand
Assist in content creation for bi-weekly newsletter with new products + upcoming events or initiatives
Focus on inventory accuracy, and carefully receive, manage, and inspect shipment receipts
Assist in Product Updates on our website - This can include image management and measuring product and some copywriting
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and to lift overhead and push/pull or move lighter objects
Must be able to frequently stand and move about our space to interact with guests and teammates and complete organization and inventory tasks
