ABOUT THE POSITION:
New June is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a well-organized sales floor, prepping bakery merchandise for the day, and cleaning up post-retail hours.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting products that meet their needs.
Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales space and restocking as needed.
Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale (POS).
Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and conducting regular inventory counts.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. (Candidates who demonstrate great communication and organization skills will be considered without prior experience)
Strong understanding of basic math principles for cash handling and retail math tasks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
Ability to Friday, Saturday, and potentially Sunday in the future.
A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing the customer experience.

Position type: Part-time, On-site
Pay: $16 - $17/hour
Expected Hours: 14-20 hours per week
Availability Required: Mornings & weekends
